San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society
Company Overview
San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society has been supporting the Refuges of the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Complex since 1987. The San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society (SFBWS) is based on-site at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge off Thornton Avenue in Fremont California, just south of Highway 84, and at the Environmental Education Center in Alviso at 1751 Grand Blvd. See maps and descriptions at: http://sfbayws.org/contact-us
Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Society is supported by donations from nearly 400 individual members and by donations and grants from corporations, foundations and local government agencies. We work hand-in-hand with the Refuge in daily operations, providing environmental education, volunteer support, communications, including a quarterly newsletter about the refuges, funding for special projects, and more. We strive to involve the public in stewardship, and provide for the needs the Refuge system as they arise. For more information see: sfbayws.org
