At Paul Smith's College, it's about the experience. Our programs, in fields including hospitality, culinary arts, forestry, natural resources, entrepreneurship and the sciences, draw on industries and resources available near our home in the Adirondack Park of New York State. But we prepare students for successful careers anywhere.
Paul Smith's offers both bachelor's and associate degrees in more than two dozen majors. We have been a pioneer in experiential learning since we welcomed our first class in 1946, and we continue to provide our students with a mix of practical experiences and traditional classroom learning.
Our lakeside campus is just 20 miles from the Olympic village of Lake Placid, N.Y., and provides easy access to hiking, skiing, hunting, fishing and endless other activities. Campus - located in a UNESCO biosphere reserve - is just 2.5 hours from Montreal, 2.5 hours from the New York State capital, Albany, and 5 hours from New York City. The Saranac Lake airport provides regular service to Boston's Logan International Airport.
