Description
Carroll University is searching for two tenure-track positions related to Wildlife Studies. The Biology program is seeking candidates with expertise in behavioral ecology, evolutionary ecology, or wildlife conservation to teach introductory biology, behavioral ecology, and upper-level courses in the candidate's area of expertise. This position has the option of being instruction-focused or being research and instruction focused. The Animal Behavior program is seeking candidates with expertise in zoo and aquarium studies or wildlife behavior to teach introductory animal behavior, observational methods for wildlife behavior, and other courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Requirements
Both positions require a Ph.D. in a relevant field although candidates with substantial professional experience may also be considered.
Preference will be given to candidates with a documented record of excellence in teaching and the ability to engage historically marginalized students in the study of animal behavior.
Candidates conducting research or other scholarship that is well-suited to a primarily undergraduate institution, actively involves undergraduate students, and demonstrates community and/or institutional impact are preferred.
