Description

Responsibilities:

• Survey lepidoptera, bats, amphibians, and breeding birds Inventory vegetation in grasslands, shrublands, and woodlands
• Monitor and remove invasive plants 
• Collect GPS data using FieldMaps and hand-held devices and perform
• GIS mapping using ArcPro
• Conduct wetland delineation
• Assist with electric fencing set-up and general livestock maintenance
• Collect water quality data

Requirements

Requirements:

• General knowledge and interest in wildlife and plants and a strong foundation in basic field skills
• Prior coursework or equivalent field experience in identifying birds by sight and sound and using a dichotomous key to identify plants
• Basic knowledge of ArcPro, Excel and Rstudio is desirable, but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable around livestock
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and your own vehicle
• Flexibility and willingness to work weekends and holidays
