Responsibilities: Assist in captive small animal care by: feeding and food preparation, maintaining a feeding schedule and following diet guidelines, enclosure maintenance, providing enrichment, handling, and guest interaction Engage our guests in conversation, answer questions, and help direct them to info and exhibits within the NABC museum Assist in programming for our guests in a professional manner by programs and online live broadcasts Continued learning of all educational information provided by the NABC and staff Completion of an independent intern project Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications: Currently enrolled (or recently graduated) in a college/university pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Biology, Zoology, Ecology, Animal Behavior, Conservation, or related field. 18+ years of age Eagerness to learn about animals and their environments. Comfortable with public speaking and communication. Comfortable completing duties and living with people of different backgrounds Comfortable completing duties outdoors in a variety of conditions and terrain
$1500 received at the end of your internship (500 hours)
